Freedom Camping
There are two designated areas of the Park available for Freedom Camping, as highlighted in Schedule 2 of the bylaw and displayed on Maps 33 and 34.
Please note that due to high water use, ONLY certified self-contained Freedom Camping is permitted in the Freedom Camping area by the Arrival Centre. Please note that anyone wanting to Freedom Camp in a tent, require prior approval. Please either send a Facebook message or email us. We aim to respond promptly during general business hours but responses will be less frequent during after hours and weekends.

A KiwiCamp Facility has been delivered to the Park but is not yet operational. Park Staff hope to have the KiwiCamp facility operational around Easter 2020. Please see the KiwiCamp website for more information.
